  • Some of our students went to MacBeth at Medbury on Tuesday, while the rest of us went down to Riccarton High to see Footloose.  It was so great seeing some of our ex Avonhead students in lead roles in the musical - we joked that we had 'discovered' them in Year 7/8!

Day 3: Hanmer Springs camp

Here's a snippet of today's activities.  These photos are only from a few devices - we have plenty more to share later :)

Beautiful day in Hanmer Springs today, and we have continued to have students push themselves to try new things - so awesome!  We've had a few learn to ride a bike, some who climbed higher up the tree than they thought they could, children who have walked up Conical Hill and the list goes on.

Our parent helpers have been amazing, especially our kitchen and first aid crew of Willie, Gilly and Annette.  They were the best mashed potatoes I've ever had!

See you all tomorrow. Our plan is to pack up after breakfast, and clear the cabins, then the children will head off for their final two rotations. We aim to leave here about 1:30pm and hope to arrive at school between 3:15 and 3:30pm.  The children may not be on the same bus as their bags, so if you could please wait on the school side of the fence, that would be really helpful with our unloading of children and bags!

This wee guy certainly gave a couple of teachers a HUGE fright!
